Forestry Fostering

Forestry fostering is a business strategy that combines economical, social and environmental results. With support from Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES – Social and Economical Development National Bank), the group offers support to rural owners who want to produce pinus and eucalyptus in unproductive and degraded areas, offering seedlings, specialized professionals to follow-up the planting and technical assistance during the formation of the forest.

Nowadays, the company has contract with fostering in 18 counties, such as: Nova Campina, Itaberá, Itapeva, Itapirapuã Paulista, Barra do Chapéu, Ribeirão Branco, Bom Sucesso do Itararé, Buri, Coronel Macedo, Itaporanga, Capão Bonito, among other counties in the Southwest of the state of São Paulo. In 2007, the Forestry Fostering Program was also expanded to Vale do Jari, in Pará.
